Aetna Health Insurance Products
Aetna offers a wide variety of health plans for both individuals and employers. They strive to provide quality health care at cost-efficient prices. Not all plans are offered in all states, however, so check with the Aetna carrier in your state for your options.
Network-Only Plans
- Aetna Managed Choice Open Access – Aetna offers several Open Access plans, including low-cost policies and HSA-compatible policies. Referrals are not required for Open Access Plans.
- Aetna HMO Plan – Choose any provider within Aetna’s network. Referrals are required.
- Aetna Select Plan – A hybrid HMO plan.
- Aetna Elect Choice “EPO” Plan – Policyholders can add an optional Wellness program. Certain states offer Aexcel specialists.
Network Option Plans
- Aetna Choice POS – This POS plan does not require referrals, and allows members to visit the physician of their choice, even outside the POS network.
- Aetna Open Choice PPO – Aetna offers a PPO-based plan with deductibles ranging from $500 to $5000.
Plans for Seniors
- Aetna Medicare Rx – Charges a copay to fill prescriptions and provides unlimited coverage for generic drugs listed in your policy.
- Aetna Medicare Advantage – Combines medical and prescription health coverage, at lower rates than the Medicare Supplement plans.
- Medicare Supplement Plans – Provides benefits that your Medicare plan may not.
