Altius Individual & Family Health Plans
Altius provides flexible and affordable plans for individuals and families, including Medicare options for members over 65 years of age. Altius offers a wide range of HMO, PPO, and POS options depending on the customer’s needs and financial situation.
- HMO Plans: Most preventative health care services area covered in the comprehensive plan. Members choose a primary care provider (PCP) from the Altius network. Members enjoy lower copayments and less out-of-pocket costs.
- PPO Plans: Members have the freedom to choose their health care provider and health care services out of network, if they choose. However, out-of-pocket expenses may be higher.
- POS Plans (Point of Service): Members have the freedom to choose their level of coverage as well as their health care provider. Most preventative care services are covered.
Altius Ratings
As of early 2010, Altius Health Plans received a B++ (Good) rating from A.M. Best, the national rating company.
