Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield is licensed by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to provide health care solutions to Arkansas residents. Currently, Arkansas BCBS is the largest medical care provider in the state, providing coverage to 40% of the market. The company is a non-profit organization which intends to provide not only treatment, but financing services, information, and peace of mind to its members.
Arkansas BCBS Health Insurance Products
Individual and Family Plans
- Short-Term Blue – A temporary (30-182 days) PPO plan with a one-time premium, and a deductible of $500 or $1,000.
- BlueChoice PPO – A comprehensive PPO plan with prescription coverage. Deductibles range from $500-$25,000 and there is an option to add life insurance and maternity benefits.
- Blue Solution PPO – A health plan with a choice of 4 deductibles and a $2 million lifetime benefit maximum. Premiums are based on the age and sex of the oldest person to be covered.
- HSA Blue PPO and HSA Blue PPO Plus – Contribute funds tax-free to your health savings account. Benefits include genera, hospital, and outpatient care. The HSA Blue PPO Plus plan comes with prescription drug coverage.
- BlueSecure (long-term care) – Provides for care due to chronic/debilitating illnesses. Benefits include home, nursing home, and hospice care, and also caregiver training.
Employer Group Plans
- True Blue PPO – Provides affordable health care for businesses.
- Group BasicBlue – A basic health plan with physician office visits and drug coverage riders available at extra cost.
- Health Advantage Traditional HMO – A no-deductible plan for businesses with over 50 employees. MyChoice Blue – Allows employees to choose from four PPO plans.
