BCBS of South Carolina Health Plans

  • BCBS HMO Plans: BCBS HMO plans keep costs low by setting up in-network referrals through primary health care providers. HMOs provide quality health care at an affordable cost, and are easily customizable to your individual needs.
  • BCBS PPO Plans: For those who feel that the ability to choose a physician without a referral is essential, BCBS PPO health plans are the answer. BCBS PPO health plans provide access to the largest network of specialists and caregivers in the state, and anyone with a PPO plan can choose any in-network doctor (also known as a “Preferred Provider”) at any time.
  • BCBS HSA Plans: High-deductible HSA plans allow those with minimal health care needs to keep premiums low. Members put money aside in a special tax-deductible savings account to use for doctor bills and prescriptions. HSA insurance reimbursement kicks in for catastrophic or costlier illnesses.
