Mandatory Health Insurance Absurd, Unaffordable
Requiring Americans to purchase health insurance is an absolute joke. It cannot and will not work. And either the government will be ticketing many, many people for not having health insurance, or it will find the idea—if it becomes law—going the same direction as Hillary Clinton’s 1993 health care proposal: into the trash.

Obtaining Health Insurance with a Preexisting Condition
Having a preexisting condition will automatically disqualify people from many health plans. Insurance companies simply cannot afford to take on the increased risk. This means the very people who need health insurance the most are having the most difficulty obtaining coverage.

Issues in the U.S. Health Care System
The health care system in the United States is undeniably a disaster. Never before has our country’s health care system been in such dire disarray—and it needs repaired sooner rather than later.
A recent edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association found that the United States spends $6,000 per citizen on average on health insurance. This amount is more than any other country spends on health insurance per person and is about 16 percent of the United States’ gross domestic product. This figure is truly out of control.
