By 2011, money will be funded to expand and improve existing community health centers, as well as build new facilities where low-income families and individuals can receive free or low-cost health care.
Beginning in 2014, Medicaid will expand its eligibility to all individuals and families with an income below 133% of the US poverty level, approximately $14,000 for an individual and $29,000 for a family of four. States will receive 100% federal funding for the first three years to cover the increase in individuals covered by Medicaid.
